CEAT, an RPG Enterprises company and one of India’s leading tyre manufacturers, today celebrated the success and glory of International cricket as well as achievements of cricketers with ‘CEAT Cricket Rating Awards 2013’. The glittering awards function was held in New Delhi at the ITC Maurya.
CEAT Cricket Rating (CCR) is the first cricket rating to officially recognize and reward cricketers for their performances in the international cricket arena. The CCR International awards for the year have been awarded in 3 categories viz., CEAT Lifetime Achievement Award, CEAT International Cricketer of the Year and CEAT International Best Cricket Team. In addition to the regular award categories, this edition of the CEAT Cricket Rating awards unveiled the CEAT Indian Youngster of the Year.
While team Pakistan walked away with the Cricket Team of the Year, legendary cricketer Zaheer Abbas was felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the game. Unmukt Chand the star of the under 19 cricket World Cup was bestowed the Indian Youngster of the Year Award.
CEAT Cricket Rating awards also honored the recommencement of India Pakistan cricketing ties by instituting the India Pakistan Special Awards decorating the best batman and bowler both in Test and ODI.
